The NY Times Reader (electronic) is excellent. Here's a few reasons why

I really enjoy reading the NY Times via its Reader (free for subscribers). The software is simple, elegant, and uncluttered (key!). Notice a few of the things in red that make it so much better than the print version - constantly updating, a week's worth of archives (even when you're offline), more info than in the print version, searchable, photo and video sections, easy to e-mail links to people, and more.

I mean, it's amazing! If there's any hope for newspapers, one way might just be by designing stunning electronic ways of interacting with the news.
