I am so happy to hear that the Grand Army Plaza walking/biking area are going to be redone to be safer and more efficient. Living in the neighborhood I've had more than a few heart-stopping experiences just walking when the pedestrian light says to. The drivers, bikers, and walkers all need functionality that directs them safely. That being said, how we instill common sense in people in much more complicated.
