Microsoft has a program call AutoCollage that will take a folder of images and make a collage for you. I can't say I find the results all that breathtakingly beautiful, but the tool seems highly functional. 30 day trial, $19.95 to buy.

We have two different India-related classes at my school - one is more literature based, one more historical. Both teachers are looking for novels for high school students. We've discussed many authors including Jhumpa Lahiri, Rohinton Mistry, Amitav Ghosh, and Arundhati Roy.

I'm a huge fan of NAU, an environmentally responsible, future-design oriented clothier. I enjoyed reading how their designers came up with the new travel bag concept. Thoughtful and meaningful design is important to me. And so is NAU's choice of natural fibers (no dead animals here). If you want to buy the new bag, it's on their shopping site.
For travel, I personally use the Patagonia MLC, and I love it.
