Thousands of my Flickr photos turned into a fantastic video with a single click via @pummelvision

This free service might be the coolest thing I have come across in a long while. They just took every public photo I have on Flickr (many thousands) and turned them into a beautiful video. Thank you, Pummelvision, you have a fan in me!

All of my Flickr (or Facebook) using friends should try this out!

Another way Google's Android software is better than Apple's iPhone software

Google’s Do-It-Yourself App Creation Software

The New York Times did an excellent summary of Google's new App Creator for Android. Why wait for someone to build an app for your phone when you can just build it yourself. Easily.

This is a great example of why my next phone will be an Android phone and not an Apple phone. I want a phone that lets me do what I want with it, not what Apple engineers let me do with it.

Whoah people, Discovery Educator Network has teamed up to score teachers free Prezi Pro accounts!

So, to kick things off with a bang, our friends at Prezi have very generously agreed to provide all STAR Discovery Educators with a free Educator Pro account for a year (normally $59).

All you have to do to get your free Educator Pro account from Prezi is visit this page on the new DEN online community website, log in and complete the form.

I'm a big fan of Prezi and the Pro account is definitely worth it as it gives you the offline editor, which is key! I purchased mine a while ago, but I wanted to pass it along to my educator friends.

DAYTUM - another amazing way to interact with data online

I think Dan Meyer would like Daytum. With the free account everything you post is public, so be careful what you track. Either way, how cool is this? I could see a sports team in a school keep tracking of statistics and encouraging people to check out their Daytum. Perhaps a biology lab collecting data making a page with their combined findings...

Anyone using this in their school?
